Tonight I’ll be providing the sounds, along with DJ OOO Child, for Culture Of Creativity’s 1st Birthday Party. The Creatives have been making some truly remarkable videos, portraits, etc. this past year, so it is definitely an honor to spin for them. If you’re in NY tonight, come celebrate!

Teddy Ruck-Spin @ CMJ 2010 [Part 3/3]

To take a break from all the CMJ madness, I headed out to Jersey to chill with good friend and MC/Producer J.A.M.E.S. WATTS. We kicked it for a while about music, life, etc, and I got to preview of some of the ridiculous tracks he has in store. We also did some damage on a top-secret Ruck-Spin project… More on that later! You can check out all of J.A.M.E.S.’ latest @ http://www.thegameneedsjames.com.

On Saturday, Rey and I headed over to the borough of Queens to link up with Gist. For a while now, Gist has been promising me a hip hop tour of his neighborhood. The stars finally aligned, and it turned out to be an insane day. Check the video for a Gist-led tour of Queens hip hop royalty – he covered everyone from RUN-DMC to G-Unit! Watch my inner rap nerd go crazy!

In addition to being a Queens hip hop aficionado, Gist has been dropping Q.U. classics of his own. Check out his Young, Gifted & Black video that’s referenced in the tour, as well as his latest album A Dream Deferred and mixtape Summer Madness. Highly recommended!
